The film tells about a boy Budeeve Anton, who was born and grew up on the Ushkany Islands on Lake Baikal.

Part 1.

Landscapes of Lake Baikal.

Anton's father hews ice on the lake, the mother carries water view houses on the shore.

Anton's mother - an employee of the weather station suitable for meteobudke, takes readings from instruments with his father Anton paddle boat on the lake, pulling networks with fish  shift the fish in the trough, cut up fish; Anton's father - water-bailiff talks on the radio; Anton climbs the rocky shore, watching the seals.

Part 2.

Baikal landscapes: summer and winter.

Budeevyh family members at the table at home, drinking tea; Anton on the shore of Lake Baikal, in the forest chainsaw sawing trees, chopping wood in the yard; Anton's mother at the meteorological station, taking on water.

Anton with his father on the ice of Lake Baikal, pulling networks; fish species in the networks; Anton with his father in a car loaded fish.

Part 3.

Anton carries firewood in the bath, stove heats, passes through the ice on a motorcycle, ship blocks of ice into the sleigh; Budeevyh family members sitting at the table eating; fried fish on a plate in a pan, the pan.

Anton ship barrels of fuel; Anton with his father riding in the car; landscapes surrounding area: the hills, the taiga (filmed with motion); Anton's mother cooks in the kitchen; Anton fills the car with gasoline at a gas station; Anton with his father passing by car in the evening on the ice of Lake Baikal.
