7 May 1969 on the occasion of Victory Day and the 24 th anniversary of the liberation of Czechoslovakia by the Soviet Army, the state-party delegation of Czechoslovakia in the republic's President Ludvik Svoboda, the first secretary of the Central Committee of Gustav Husak, the chairman of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic Oldrzhiha Bilberry and others visited the Central Group of Soviet troops temporarily stationed on the territory of Czechoslovakia.
