The special edition "The Coup" is an hourly chronicle of the coup in Russia in August 1991.

The general situation in Moscow, troops on the streets of the city, construction of barricades, popular unrest, interviews with representatives of the armed forces and participants in rallies, the work of the radio station of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR are shown.

The description and criticism of the actions of the State Emergency Committee, general summaries of parallel events in Leningrad and the Baltic region are described.

Also included in the program were fragments of a press conference with members of the State Emergency Committee, interviews with well-known politicians and prominent public figures.
