The heroine of the program is Lyudmila Narusova, the wife of the famous politician, the first mayor of St.

Petersburg, Anatoly Sobchak, who died on February 19.

The interview was shot on the eve of his death, so Lyudmila Narusova tells the stories of life, love and struggle for her husband, not yet as a widow, but as the wife of Anatoly Alexandrovich.

They met when they were already quite mature people.

Lived, like everyone else, in a one-room apartment.

They were happy and quarreled, sometimes not understanding each other.

But most importantly, what they had was their love.

In 1981, Xenia's daughter was born.

Anatoly Alexandrovich gave his wife 55 roses, one flower for every centimeter of growth of the newborn.

The flowers did not fade for a month.

Then there was 1989, the first congress of people's deputies.

And then there was the first fear for the health and life of a loved one.

Anatoly Alexandrovich became the mayor of Leningrad and restored the city his original name - Petersburg.

From now on, spouses were constantly followed by security guards and journalists, they could retire only at home.

The starry hour of Anatoly Sobchak was 1991, when only thanks to him tanks did not enter Peter.

And then the baiting began.

In 1997, fighting for her husband's life, Lyudmila Borisovna sent him to Paris on an airplane.

Anatoly Sobchak had to get used to the fact that his wife was not around, learn to live independently.

Then there was a triumphant return to Russia. "If I married a man, I must help him, whatever he does, even politics," says Lyudmila Narusova.

However, you can not fight all your life, you can not write life on a draft, hoping that someday it will be better and you can rewrite it.

There will not be another life, so you need to do everything now.
