Father Cyril, mother Natalia, the children of Domnik, Peter and Ivan lived in the village of Kazaneshty until 1947.

In 1946, the famine and mass exodus of the population to Romania and Ukraine began in the south of Moldova.

When the youngest son Ivan died, the Grabowski also left, reached Chernivtsi, where his father was able to put the family in the car, and he broke himself and fell under the train, his wife and children thought that he was dead.
