Pavel left in August 2006 to work in Moscow, worked in a construction company, last called home on December 20, 2006 and promised to come celebrate with his New Year's family;  according to witnesses, the last time a young man was seen at the Kazan railway station.

Filming in the Lipetsk region: Yuri and Natalia Lotharev remember how they met Paul on March 20, 2007 on the road, drove to the village and left to work on his farm;  in early May, Paul wrote a letter home, then suddenly left without warning anyone.

Filming in the Rostov region: in January 2009, Pavel was detained near the Khapry station and was transferred to the police station in the village of Chaltyr; there he was given a certificate for the restoration of documents at the place of residence.
