Third series.

"Five glasses of tobacco".

In 1941, in the village of Bolshaya Priklon, accompanying Nicholas's husband to the front, Anastasia Leontyeva bartered five glasses of tobacco for him, but she did not have time to transfer.

She took care of this tobacco for a long time, hoping that her husband would return, and when very difficult times came, she began to exchange tobacco for food in order to feed eight children.

After that, she was arrested on a denunciation as a speculator and sent to the camp along with the youngest son, who was not even one year old then.

The program "Wait for me" turned the eldest son of Anastasia Efimovna - Peter N. Leontiev.

By that time, of the seven children, only he and the sisters Alexander, Elizabeth and Claudius survived.

But all their lives they remembered that somewhere there must be another brother of them, Seryozha, who, if he survived, could not remember anything about himself.

Anastasia had been waiting for a sentence in the Melenkovo prison for several months, then she was sentenced to 5 years.

From the camp, only two letters came from her, from which it is known that she was serving a term near Karaganda, in Karlag, and from there the search began.

The request from the program "Wait for me" in the archive of "Karlag" fell into the hands of very good people.

Employees of the archive manually sifted through thousands of documents to find the case of Anastasia Leontyeva.

She did not live to see the end of her term, she died in 1943, her husband went missing at the front that same year.

Little Serezha lived in the camp for some time and only at the age of 7 he was sent to an orphanage.

In the 1980s, Sergei Nikolayevich Leontyev filed an application to search for relatives, but of course, to no avail, so when, after more than 20 years from now, they called him from the program “Wait for me” and asked if he wanted to find his relatives, he agreed without hesitation.

In the studio, he was seated in the stands with everyone, he waited in turn to tell what little he knew about himself, waited and listened to others.

The microphone went to an elderly man, whose father was taken to the front in 1941, and his mother was arrested for bartering food for tobacco, which she did not have time to give to her husband ...

The film was filmed by the staff of the archive and the Dolinsky orphanage, the descendants of the imprisoned camps, the Leontyev family; used footage chronicle of different years.
