Reel №1

The story from Latvia about illegal immigrants waiting for deportation in the Olain camp is told by the head of the camp, Raimond Palchevsky, the acting head of the Immigration Service of Riga, Janis Divans, and the main character of the story, Olga Sandori.

A citizen of the Congo, Patrick Balossa, came to Riga to study at the Aviation Institute 16 years ago, they met Olga in 1999.

To obtain a residence permit, Patrick had a fictitious marriage.

When he and Olga decided to get married in 2004, he annulled the marriage, which automatically deprived him of the right to stay in Latvia, as a result of which the wedding broke down, as the immigration service took Patrick to the camp and began the deportation procedure.

The flight was scheduled for August 12, but on the eve of the young people glued their palms with superglue.

Despite this, they were still able to separate them in the hospital, and Patrick was sent from Riga to Moscow.

In Sheremetyevo-2, he was robbed, he was left without money and documents, spent two months in the customs zone; during this time, Olga twice came to Moscow, asked for help from the Embassy of the Congo, but could not do anything, in November, Patrick was transported to the Congo.

Now Olga is looking for him again and hopes that everything is fine with him and that they will still be able to be together.
