On April 7, 2008, a woman, Irina Steshenko, a tax inspector, disappeared in the village of Urchanskaya.

Mother of three children and grandmother of a seven-year-old grandson.

That day, as usual, she woke up early, at 4 o'clock in the morning - she woke up her son Roman and took him to work in Armavir.

At seven in the morning, she had to wake up her youngest daughter, Dasha, and her grandson, Romka, to take them to school and kindergarten.

But when the alarm rang, my mother was not at home...

Today we have in the studio, Irina Ivanovna's children, Roman, Daria and Nadezhda.

And on May 7, a month after the disappearance of Irina Steshenko, a woman came to the kiosk of the TV program "Wait for Me" at the Kazan railway station.

She said that she does not remember anything about herself, except that she woke up on the platform of the Kazan railway station… She thinks she met her son from the army.

And she thinks so because in her pocket she found a calendar with a picture of a young man in a military uniform.

She decided that this was her son and that she had come to the train station to meet him.

She had no documents, no belongings, no money with her.

Except ... the calendar.

Search engines began searching and found a military unit in which the young man depicted on the calendar served.

We found out that it was Roman Steshenko.

After checking his data on our computer, we found Roman's application to search for his mother.

The plot of the search for Irina Ivanovna and her son.

There is still a lot to find out about this story - and the creators of the program are very much hoping for feedback from the audience.

Now the most important thing is that my mother was found.

The presenter says words of gratitude to the command of the Ordzhonikidze division and the military unit that helped in the search.
