Sel in Medeo (1973)

July 15-16, 1973 in the tract Medeo came down a powerful mudflow.

For rescue Alma-Ata erected a dam, installed pumps for pumping out water, carried out a series of blasting operations and redirected the streams flowing from the mountains, protected the sports complex "Medeo".

The panoramas of the Medeo neighborhoods from the air are shown and discussion of the plan for further actions with the members of the commission (there is Dinmukhamed Kunayev), police detachments, staff of the complex and volunteers.

Also, the observation of the movement of water, the measurement of the flow velocity and the continuation of work on various fortifications are removed.
