The festival took place in Alma-Ata.
The delivery of awards to the winners of the film festival, among them Isaak Gitlevich, G. Belyalov, Jan Von Sik, director of the film studio named after Shaken Aimanov "Kazakhfilm" Slambek Taukelov, was canceled.
Also removed Olzhas Suleimenov, Oraz Abishev, B. Gabitov, Sergei Azimov and others.

Gitlevich I.M. - Soviet cinematographer and director, front-line photo correspondent, WWII veteran. Taukelov S.T. - Kazakh director, screenwriter, producer, member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR. Suleimenov O.O. - Kazakh poet, writer, literary critic, Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan, public figure, diplomat. Abishev O. - Soviet and Kazakh film director, the founder of Kazakh documentary film, Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR, People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR, a member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR. Azimov S.Z. - Kazakh film director, producer, member of the USSR Union of Cinematographers, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan. Jan Von Sik is a film director, cameraman, writer, journalist, public figure.
