He was picked up by the police at a small station, then he went to a Carmelite monastery, then disappeared and from there, then, already unconscious, he was found on one of the luxurious Italian beaches and taken to the hospital…
No one understood who he was, where he came from, or what language he spoke - only the "Kolya" tattoo on his left arm suggested that the solution to his mystery should be sought in Russia.
