The Second Congress of Artists of Kazakhstan was held in the building of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR.
The congress was opened by the chairman of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan S. Mambetov.
The greeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan was read out by the Secretary K. Kazybayev.
