On July 4, 2012, the Higgs boson, an elusive "God particle", was discovered at the European Center for Nuclear Research, the search for which lasted almost 50 years.

A discovery that is already being talked about as one of the most important in the history of mankind. "The whole cosmos is filled with a certain field, which, when its particles intersect, informs them of their mass" - this is the theory of the British scientist Peter Higgs, first formulated in 1964.
