Catholics actively resisted the oppression.

Representatives of the clergy printed chronicles of the Catholic churches of Lithuania, which were secretly distributed both in Lithuania and abroad.

Believers united in small groups and taught religion to children, celebrated religious holidays, and used folk and religious symbols.

The dissident movement raised the national spirit, and over time did not allow history and national values to be forgotten.

Thanks to them, the world learned about the situation and human rights violations in the LSSR.
