



The program theme is the VICTORY BANNER of 1945. In April 1945, in the 3rd Shock Army of the 1st Belorussian Front, which was the first in the center of Berlin, 9 assault flags were made from simple red material by order of the commander of the 3rd Shock Army, Colonel General Kuznetsov V. I. (according to the number of divisions that were part of the army).
The flags were made according to the model of the state flag of the USSR in the Army House of the Red Army under the supervision of its chief, Major Golikov G. N. The banners were made from German material taken from one of the shops in Berlin.
The star, sickle and hammer were applied by hand and through a stencil by the artist Vasily Buntov.
The flagpoles from a sawn board for the assault flags were made by the projectionist, Senior Sergeant Gabov A. T. On the night of April 22, assault flags were presented on behalf of the Military Council of the 3rd Shock Army to representatives of the rifle divisions.
Among them was assault flag number 5, which became the Victory Banner.
The guard of honor brings the Victory Banner into the studio, the audience and participants stand up.
