The Moscow City Rescue Service was formed on February 6, 1996. It has forty rescuers and thirty-five communication operators on its staff.

During the ten months of the service's existence, its information center has received and processed almost half a million messages.

The monthly number of citizen calls to the rescue service has increased from twenty-six thousand in February to seventy-two thousand in October.

Rapid response teams have responded to calls about two thousand times.

Saraikin Alexey talks about the work of the rescue service.

The service helps citizens in cases that do not have departmental affiliation, for example, a person accidentally found themselves locked in an apartment or a small child is home alone and there is a danger, for example, of an explosion if he opens the gas...

Video: A rescuer descends on a rope through the window of an apartment building, rescue service employees with radios, rescuers free a driver from a car crumpled in an accident.
