Igor Sergeyevich Ivanov graduated from the Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages, is fluent in Spanish and English, spent twenty years in the diplomatic service, more than half of which he spent in Spain, made a brilliant career in 1989, received the rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, in 1991 he was appointed Ambassador of Russia to Spain, since 1994 he has been First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
