Production: Studio Roscosmos

Annotation:

"When the unknown is in front of you, then you can overcome it inside yourself only by some kind of faith. By believing that there are forces that are higher than you, purer than you, better than you, wiser than you..." It is now impossible to know when and who first took the icon with them on a flight, but in an aggressive space environment, where, according to the elders, cosmic energies, like a cold wind, are unpleasant they touch the heart and confuse the mind of a person, even a person who does not know a single prayer needs the supportive gaze of a saint.

The film is a sermon, an instruction on the rules of human behavior in an aggressive space environment.

The hero of the tape, the abbot of the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra Job, once dreamed of becoming an astronaut and even enrolled in a military flight school.

Now, together with his spiritual children, he conducts tests in a hydro laboratory, flies to zero gravity training, participates in other trainings at the Cosmonaut Training Center, escorts crews from the Baikonur cosmodrome and greets them with the ringing of the bells of the newly erected church in Star City.

In addition, he is collecting material for a future book about the Orthodox history of Soviet and Russian cosmonautics, because he is firmly convinced that this story was created by baptized people, because despite the fact that in childhood everyone was pioneers and Komsomol members, and later became party members, there were simply no unbaptized then.

The film stars Rostislav Bogdashevsky, Valery Korzun, Vasily Tsibliev, Alexander Lazutkin, Alexey Leonov, Vladimir Titov, Yuri Lonchakov, Nikolai Zelenshchikov, Oleg and Tatiana Kononenko, nun Adriana (Natalia Malysheva), Fedor Yurchikhin, chief specialist of the archive of socio-political history Galina Tokareva, etc.
