Annotation:

The film immerses the viewer in the history of the lunar program from Soviet times to the present day. A detailed design of the first long-term lunar base in history began to be developed immediately after Gagarin's flight. Today, experimental preparations for the lunar expedition are underway at the Institute of Biomedical Problems. Test cosmonauts and scientists talk about the various stages of preparation and about their participation in the Sirius-19 isolation experiment.

The internal appearance of the Russian segment of the ISS is a continuation of the interiors of the Mir station, and the station, in turn, inherited elements from the Salyut modules.

But few people know that initially all this was done for the modules of the lunar station.

The unofficial name of the station was "Barmingrad", after the chief designer Vladimir Pavlovich Barmin.

The lunar program lasted ten years.

It involved hundreds of enterprises throughout the Soviet Union.

A rocket, a launch complex, a lunar spacecraft and a detailed plan of the base were created, the crew was prepared, and no one had any doubts that one day all this would be realized.

And yet the base on the moon was never built.

A project of a new lunar city is being created today.

The settlement will be built from universal modules, robots will assemble on the surface of the Moon, the main transport of the first settlers will be a powerful lunar train, as conceived by the legendary Council of Chief Designers and the creator of the first lunar base Vladimir Barmin.

The Sirius-19 project brings a real lunar expedition closer.

According to experts, the flight to the moon and the construction of the base should take place in the next decade.
