The Mir space Station has become a bright star in a whole galaxy of outstanding achievements of Russian cosmonautics. We did it: we built the first orbital house in zero gravity and again went down in history as pioneers. The film contains not just unique materials about the creation of the station, but also very personal stories of space explorers who tell how it all started and how it works today.

The Mir station became a constant source of news, because the whole planet was watching what was happening in space.
For 15 years of work, 28 long-term and 30 international expeditions were organized at the station, 135 cosmonauts from 11 countries visited here, in total, Mir made 86331 turns, and more than one and a half thousand various experiments were carried out on board.
The destruction of the station still causes controversy and questions.
According to experts, having worked for only 15 years, Mir could have worked at least as much more.
Many are convinced that the station has simply become a victim of the economic crisis and the accompanying political games, including in the international space.
