The launch from the Vostochny cosmodrome has been postponed to 2016, perhaps it will be timed to coincide with the Cosmonautics Day.

The first stone in the construction of a new civilian cosmodrome was laid in August 2010, since that day more than 200 launch and technical facilities have been erected at the Vostochny sites.

Thanks to the use of new technologies, Vostochny turned out to be more compact, it is 7 times smaller than Baikonur.

The business card of the cosmodrome is a 50-meter mobile service tower.

Satellites will be launched from the new cosmodrome to a variety of orbits, in a few years ships with astronauts will fly from here, and Soyuz and Angara will become the main rockets.
