The first manned ship of the MS series has been delivered to Baikonur.

MS is an upgraded version of the Soyuz spacecraft.

The Progress-MS cargo variant has already flown to the ISS, now it's the turn of the manned one.

The crew trains in Star City, the commander is cosmonaut Anatoly Ivanishin, the flight engineer is Japanese astronaut Takuya Onishi and NASA astronaut Kathleen Rubins.

The launch of the Soyuz MS-01 spacecraft is scheduled for June 24, 2016.
