Preparations for the launch of the ExoMars project are being completed at Baikonur.
Scientists specifically chose the so-called "window" for the flight when the Red Planet is located closest to Earth.
ExoMars will study the planet's atmosphere and search for water, including with the help of Russian instruments developed at the Space Research Institute.
