The plot for the 40th anniversary of the Soviet program "Intercosmos".
On March 2, 1978, the manned stage of the program was launched, thanks to which 14 representatives of different countries saw the Earth from an orbital altitude.
The Intercosmos program has laid a solid foundation for further international cooperation.
During the anniversary of the first international flight, memories of the program are shared by Alexey Gubarev, Vladimir Remek, Mikhail Marov, Valentin Kozyrev, Miroslav Germashevsky, Georgy Grechko, Sigmund Yen, Oleg Baklanov.
Personnel:
Gubarev A.A. - pilot-cosmonaut, Major General of Aviation, Candidate of Technical Sciences, twice Hero of the Soviet Union. Remek V. - the first pilot-cosmonaut of Czechoslovakia, Hero of the Czech SSR, Hero of the Soviet Union, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Russian Federation (2014-2018). Marov M.Ya. - Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Kozyrev V.I. is a veteran of the rocket and space industry, author of the book "Flights under the Intercosmos program". M. Germashevsky is the first Polish cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union. Grechko G.M. - pilot-cosmonaut of the USSR, twice Hero of the Soviet Union. Sigmund Yen is a pilot-cosmonaut of the GDR, the 1st German in space, Hero of the GDR, Hero of the Soviet Union, retired Major General of aviation. Baklanov O.D. - Soviet economic and political figure, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Minister of General Mechanical Engineering of the USSR (1983-1988), Hero of Socialist Labor.
