In Omsk, the production association "Flight" (a branch of the Khrunichev State Research and Development Center) is assembling the Angara-A5 heavy launch vehicle.

Various modifications of the rocket can be assembled from environmentally friendly universal modules, the first tests began in 2014. Scientists expect that soon the Angara will completely replace the Proton launch vehicle.

Employees of the PO "Flight" Sergey Kuznetsov, Viktor Shuliko and Alexander Malashenko talk about the creation of rockets and about the history of the enterprise, which appeared on the basis of the Tupolev aviation plant and the Tushinsky Machine-building plant.

In the preparation of the plot, the chronicle of different years and the frames of the film "Normandy - Neman" (1960, directed by Jean Dreville) were used.
