On March 18, 1965, the Voskhod-2 manned spacecraft with cosmonauts Pavel Belyaev and Alexey Leonov on board launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome.

On the same day, Alexey Leonov made the world's first spacewalk, which lasted 12 minutes.

So a new page was opened in the history of space exploration.

The first human spacewalk was the second largest achievement in world history after the flight of Yuri Gagarin.
