



"Forced Resettlement".
The program raises the question of what a person who has fallen into the lot of a migrant can count on by law, what rights does a person have who is forced by the authorities to leave his home.
The first story of the program is about an act of self-immolation.
It would seem that in peacetime there is no reason to die for the Motherland, but for Muscovites Nina and Marina Khaustov, their apartment in a "Khrushchevka" on 13th Parkovaya Street was that very real and small Motherland, which they did not want to leave under any circumstances.
The Khaustovs' house was to be demolished, they were threatened with resettlement, but the location of their future home categorically did not suit them, therefore, when the news was heard that the mother and daughter committed an act of self-immolation, their neighbors did not doubt the reasons that forced the residents of the doomed house to commit suicide.
On June 4, 2002, in the middle of the day, cries for help were heard from the apartment where the mother and daughter lived, and a pungent smell of burning instantly spread through the entrance.
Nine days after the incident, Nina Nikolaevna Khaustova died in intensive care from extensive burns, her daughter Marina spent two months in the intensive care box between life and death.
