The program is devoted to the army theme - the problem of military exercises, during which soldiers and cadets die or are injured.
According to unofficial information, army officials include "acceptable soldier costs", that is, losses during military exercises within 4%.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Defense, such cases occur extremely rarely, due to the fact that exercises as such have been practically cancelled at the moment.
However, as military jurisprudence experts and human rights activists believe, such incidents in the army during small-scale training actions occur quite often, but criminal cases on such stories, as a rule, are not initiated.
Over the past few years, the number of injured soldiers has not decreased.
The first story of the program.
The tragedy occurred in the Sverdlovsk region, in the Yelansky training center on November 15, 2001. During the exam for cadets on aimed night shooting from a T-72 tank, the second shot blew up the tank gun, there was an explosion, the turret caught fire, and three cadets died.
