



"Athlete Killer".
On August 22, 1982, in the city of Kasimovo in the Ryazan Region, two girls were killed.
The bodies of the Lyamaev sisters, 19-year-old Natasha and 22-year-old Tatyana, were found buried in the forest.
In April 1983, Alexander Zhirlitsyn, a neuropsychiatrist, and Sergey Antaiyov, a world vice-champion in canoeing, were arrested on suspicion of rape and murder.
A year and a half later, the court sentenced Zhirlitsyn to death and Antipov to 15 years in a strict regime penal colony.
After the second trial, Antipov's preventive measure was replaced with the death penalty.
Another additional investigation after the court's verdict was appealed resulted in Antipov's initial preventive measure being returned.
During the investigation, some important details that could have somehow affected the fate of the former athlete were not taken into account.
For example, material evidence found at the crime scene disappeared from the case.
The athlete spent the last year of his "imprisonment" in a special colony in Nizhny Tagil, where he fell ill with chronic myeloleukemia, i.e. blood cancer.
All 15 years of his imprisonment, Sergei Antipov unsuccessfully tried to prove his innocence in the deaths of two girls.
Upon his release, realizing that he did not have long to live, he decided to use all his strength and means to find the real killers, thereby justifying his tarnished name.
For four years now, the former athlete has been fighting a deadly disease and collecting evidence bit by bit to confirm the guilt of the real killers.
He is ready to name their names in the studio.
