The film, based on the memoirs of the director of the Pavlovsk Palace Museum Anna Ivanovna Zelenova, tells the story of this unique monument of Russian architecture and landscape art, the catastrophic destruction of the palace during World War II and the lengthy restoration work. Nominated for an Oscar by the American Film Academy - 1985.
