Annotation:
The authors of the film with the help of old photographs and drawings are trying to tell the story of the Semenovsky parade ground, later renamed Pioneer square. Previously there were drills of the Life guards Semenov regiment, which served as the officers-the Decembrists, among other "petrashevists" listened to the verdict on the replacement of the death penalty penal servitude Dostoyevsky, here executed terrorists-"the people". In this square was the first building of St. Petersburg University. Now the Pioneer square are the building of the Theater of Young spectators, the building of the song and dance Ensemble of the Leningrad Military district.
