One of the first films that truthfully tells about the ministers and believers of the Russian Orthodox Church - from the highest hierarchs of the church to ordinary parishioners. When the Studio produced the films "The Temple" and "Catholics in the USSR" by special government order, their permits stated: "No right to show on the territory of the USSR." And only in connection with "perestroika" and "glasnost" did the films become available to a wide audience. The film "The Temple" caused an unprecedented resonance for documentary cinema in Russia in 1987.
