USA. The trial of Fred Perkins.
Fred Perkins, the owner of a small industrial enterprise, is shown at home, surrounded by his family (wife, two children), at work, surrounded by workers, in prison, in court.
Perkins was convicted by the National Recovery Administration for refusing to raise the minimum wage for his workers, but the US Supreme Court acquitted him.
Perkins had negotiated with his workers a wage beyond which he could not pay, otherwise he would have gone bankrupt.
