Annotation:

The beginning of the 20th century is characterized by the breakup of the academic traditions that had become monolithic. The borders of the empire that opened up for the intelligentsia, the assimilation of Western culture made Russian art cosmopolitan. It was in these years that "isms" appeared. Symbolism, acmeism, egophototourism, cubophototourism, utourism, imagenism, what is now commonly called the "silver" age. This century was not long, but it did not pass in the history of Russian art.
