The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Shaimiev Mintimer Sharipovich opens the International scientific and practical conference "The Great Volga Route" in the National and Cultural Center "Kazan" as part of preparations for the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of Kazan.

The forum is attended by: UNESCO representatives, scientists, political and public figures from Russia, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Finland, Turkey, Iran and other countries.

The conference participants visit the cities of Bolgary, Ulyanovsk, Samara, Volgograd, Astrakhan on a motor ship along the Volga River.

In the Administration of the Astrakhan Region, the participants of the International scientific and practical conference "The Great Volga Route" continue their work, the Head of the Kazan Administration Iskhakov Kamil Shamilevich speaks.
