English documentary "Betrayed", part 1. The film reconstructs the chronicle of the beginning of the First Chechen War from the introduction of troops in December 1994 to the spring events of 1995. The main characters of the film are those who did not shoot in this war, but on the contrary - tried to reduce the number of victims and save prisoners.

First of all, the film shows the work of Pyotr Kosov with the committee of soldiers' mothers, meetings in Nazran with relatives of the dead and missing.

The footage from filming in military units located in Mozdok, Grozny, in the villages of Novye Atagi, Semashki, Chiri-Yurt, Vedeno is used.

Also presented is a chronicle of military actions in populated areas and in the mountains, interviews with soldiers and civilians, representatives of the International Red Cross and human rights activists of the Memorial center.
