The special edition is dedicated to all those who celebrated the New Year in Chechnya.

The program includes footage from checkpoints, footage of combat operations on the eve of the New Year, interviews with privates and officers, female telephone operators and local residents.

A journalistic investigation is conducted into the terrorist attack in Kizlyar (key issues, interviews with hostages).

At the end of the edition are lists of the dead as of January 9-11, 1996.
