The work on the film used stories about a female philanthropist from Kharkov, about the everyday life of Moscow rescuers, about a participant in the French resistance Gisele Coupez, who has lived in Russia for 50 years, far from her family, about the inventor of helicopters Vasily Sverbil, about the round-the-world trip of the Medvedev father and son on a yacht they built themselves, and about Boris Yeltsin's double, Alexander Skorokhod from Taganrog.

The film also includes footage from newsreels featuring B.N. Yeltsin.
