The meeting arrived at the Vnukovo airport in Moscow on an official visit of the Secretary-General of the Regional leadership of the Arab Socialist Renaissance (Ba'ath), Chairman of the Revolutionary Command Council, the President of the Republic of Iraq, Ahmed Hasan al Bakr.

Among the greeting the President of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR NV Podgorny, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, AN Kosygin, and others.

On the Soviet side in the talks are taking part: The General Secretary of the CPSU, Leonid Brezhnev, NV Podgorny, Kosygin, Soviet Foreign Minister Andrei Gromyko, the Chairman of the State Committee of USSR Council of Ministers Foreign Economic Relations SA Skachkov, First Deputy Minister of Defense, Army General Vladimir G. Kulikov, the Iraqi side of Ahmed Hassan al Bakr, the Foreign Minister Murtada Sand Abdel Baki, Minister of Interior Lieutenant-General Saaduri Geydan, Minister of Petroleum and Minerals Saadoun Hammadi.

Ahmed Hassan al Bakr and members of the delegation have placed wreaths at Lenin's Mausoleum, the tomb of the Unknown Soldier; consider museum-panorama "Borodino battle", the Bolshoi Ballet look Rodion Shchedrin's Anna Karenina (Maya Plisetskaya dances).
