The Duel of Alexander Pushkin, 1837.

January 27, 1837 Alexander Pushkin was fatally wounded in a fight with the lieutenant of the Cavalry Regiment Georges Dantes.

The death of the poet was the greatest tragedy for Russian culture.

The history of the duel is shrouded in a dense veil of myths and legends.

Numerous facts drown in the mass of puzzles and hypotheses.

To this day, it is fair to remark that the poet's work and death have been studied much deeper than his whole life.

The host talks with famous Russian Pushkinists and cultural figures, trying to use them to clarify the details of the biography of Alexander Pushkin, important for recreating the tragic history of his death.
