Irina Ponarovskaya was born in Leningrad.

The music was played by everyone in the family, except for the grandmother, who brought up the children.

After graduating from school, Ira entered the conservatory.

Not wanting to be a burden to the family, the girl decided to go to work.

I did not work very long at the concertmaster at the music school, and one day my father, who was skeptical about the daughter's desire to sing, suddenly said: "My friend is looking for a soloist for his ensemble, I recommended you."

Ira was auditioned and entrusted with two songs, so she became a soloist of VIA "Singing Guitars".

Popularity to Irina came after "Singing Guitars" created a rock opera "Orpheus and Eurydice".
