A film about the life and military exploits of twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Northern Fleet pilot B. Safonov. The film was created jointly with the VGIK training studio.

Annotation:

A film about the commander of the Northern Fleet aviation regiment during the Great Patriotic War, twice Hero of the Soviet Union B. V. Safronov, who died in battle in 1942. The Tula village of Sinyavino, where B. V. Safronov was born and spent his childhood. Photographs of B. V. Safronov over the years. A monument to B. V. Safronov in his native village. A steamship and a steam locomotive named after B. V. Safronov. Memories of B. V. Safronov by his classmate and army friends (synchronously). A warship sails past the area where B. V. Safronov died; sailors lower a wreath into the water. The film uses war newsreels from 1941-1942: air battles; awarding of pilots who participated in the liberation of Tula; B. V. Safronov studies the flight route on the map (countertype).
