New Year's issue is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the feature film "The Irony of Fate, or with a Light Steam".

On our television, the tradition has been fixed to show this film before every New Year.

A touching, romantic and partly fairytale story, without exaggeration, has become in all senses a national film, because all spectators love it, without it the feeling of a holiday becomes incomplete.

Director and screenwriter Eldar Ryazanov, screenwriter Emil Braginsky, cameraman Vladimir Nakhabtsev, singer and composer Sergei Nikitin, actors Barbara Brylska and Alexander Belyavsky recall funny cases on the set of the picture.

The audience is told about all that was left behind the scenes for a long time - how the actors were selected for the main roles, how the scenes were made in the bath, how managed to show this winter in Leningrad, where at that time there was not a single snowflake, and much more.

The program includes fragments of the film and New Year greetings from Valentina Talyzina and Leah Akhedzhakova.
