With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Pimen of Moscow and All Rus', the 40th anniversary of the Lviv Church Council, which marked the reunification of the faithful of Western Ukraine and the Russian Orthodox Church, was solemnly celebrated. Filming took place in the Cathedral of St. George and the Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra. The film was shot by order of the Moscow Patriarchate.
