Discovery of masonry of the former Kuznetsky Bridge in Moscow

September 1986. USSR. Moscow. The site of a new collector for the building of the Maxim Gorky Moscow Art Academic Theatre at the intersection of Neglinnaya and Kuznetsky Most streets, where part of the white-stone masonry of the Kuznetsky Bridge from 1761 across the Neglinnaya River was discovered. After the river was enclosed in an underground pipe in 1819, the bridge was partially dismantled and filled with soil. The exact date of the photo has not been established. Valery Khristoforov/TASS
