Construction of the city of Slavutich in the Ukrainian SSR
February 1988. USSR. Ukrainian SSR. Kiev region. New residential buildings in Slavutych, a satellite town of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant named after V. I. Lenin. The new city for power engineers was built by construction teams from eight republics of the Soviet Union to replace the abandoned city of Pripyat due to the accident at the fourth power unit on April 26, 1986.
