Construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline

July 1-22, 1976. USSR. Irkutsk Region. A train with rail sections traveling along the laid tracks during the construction of the western section of the Baikal-Amur Mainline. In fulfillment of the decisions of the 25th Congress of the CPSU, the BAM builders pledged to lay thirty-two kilometers of tracks above the plan by the end of the year and to reach the Nebel siding at the 135th kilometer of the route ahead of schedule.
