Experiment "Milk Artery" in the Yaroslavl Region

Director of VNIIMS Pavel Firsovich Krasheninin and chairman of the Rodina collective farm, delegate of the third All-Union Congress of Collective Farmers Boris Fedorovich Volkov (from left to right) in the control room of the collective farm during the "Milk Artery" experiment. Milk from the collective farm is delivered to the Uglich production and experimental plant of the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Butter and Cheese Making through an underground milk pipeline. Milk in pipes laid at a depth of more than 2 meters is cooled to 10 degrees and delivered to the plant preserving its original quality. The exact date of the photo is unknown. Isaak Dynin/TASS
