Cooperative "Khorezm" in Kostroma region

July 1989. USSR. Kostroma Region. Construction of houses for members of the Khorezm cooperative in the Iskra collective farm in the Galich district. The state farm named after the 60th anniversary of the formation of the USSR from the Khorezm region of the Uzbek SSR rented part of the land that the collective farm had difficulty cultivating due to a shortage of people, created a cooperative of livestock and vegetable growers, handing over part of the produce to the collective farm, using the surplus at their own discretion.
